TxDOT Convenes Task Force to Review New Braunfels Outer Loop Study Findings

NEW BRAUNFELS – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) San Antonio District announced plans to convene a task force to review the findings of the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study. The decision was prompted by concerns and/or questions raised by the public regarding the process and some of the data.

“As the new district engineer, it’s important to me that our projects are sensitive to concerns raised by local property owners and residents,” said Mario Medina, TxDOT San Antonio District Engineer. “The task force is meant to bring transparency to the process and ensure we didn’t miss anything during our evaluations.” [more]

NEW BRAUNFELS – Thursday, October 11, 2007, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) held a second public meeting in a series of two public meetings regarding the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study. The meeting was the second opportunity for members of the public to view possible route locations for the proposed outer loop. Participants had mixed reactions to the maps on display with some expressing relief that options near their property had been screened out of the process, while others remained concerned by the remaining options. TxDOT Announces Plans for the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study at Press Conference

NEW BRAUNFELS – Wednesday, May 30, 2007, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) initiated the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study. Local leaders joined TxDOT officials to kick-off the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study and the public involvement campaign designed to get local participation in the planning process.

Mayor Bruce Boyer, City of New Braunfels, attended and addressed the growth and development that is taking place in New Braunfels. The Honorable Judge Danny Scheel of Comal County and Honorable Judge Mike Wiggins of Guadalupe County spoke as well regarding growth, accessibility and mobility in their respective counties. They were joined by dozens of local residents and business owners curious to learn more about the proposed outer loop. [more]
