City Council Delays Vote on Transportation Plan
An overflow crowd attended the City Council meeting last night to weigh in on the proposed parkway plan. Many praised the plan for facilitating traffic flows while preserving the environment and natural areas. Many homes and farms have been protected by the parkway plan.
However, others commented that the parkway plan would be detrimental to their farms in the Engle Road area. Several citizens suggested that these folks work with the city planning department to reach an agreeable resolution to their concerns. [more]

Very exciting news ...
We are very excited to tell you all that the newly proposed Transportation Plan for the City of New Braunfels does not include a parkway or other roadway across the Guadalupe River on River Road. This plan can be accessed from the city's official website.
The Transportation Plan still has to be presented to and accepted by the New Braunfels City Council. [more]
