More than 500 people signed in Thursday night at Canyon High School to view TxDOT's recommended corridor for a new loop around New Braunfels and voice their opinions.

RJ Rivera Associates, Inc. prepared the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study, undertaken in April 2007, to identify a corridor for the possible development of a New Braunfels Outer Loop (NBOL). Thursday's Open House presented the recommended route for the loop as well as maps detailing the processes the study used to narrow down potential locations. [more]

TxDOT Outer Loop meeting set for Jan. 31st

The Texas Department of Transportation will conduct an open house to provide information regarding the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study on Jan. 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m at Canyon High School in New Braunfels.

Last June, TxDOT and a group of consultants unveiled a preliminary plan for a proposed 40-mile loop around the city of New Braunfels that would encompass Comal and Guadalupe counties. [more]

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct an open house to provide information regarding the New Braunfels Outer Loop Study.

The purpose of this open house is to present the recommended corridor for the proposed outer loop.

TxDOT will present the recommendation to the City of New Braunfels, City of Schertz, Comal and Guadalupe Counties in February 2008. These entities will determine if the recommended route will be adopted into their respective Major Thoroughfare Plans (MTP). [more]
